Nepal and Dominica have established diplomatic relations. With this, the countries with which Nepal has established ties have reached 169.
Permanent representatives of Nepal to the United Nations Amrit Bahadur Rai and Permanent Representative of Dominica to the UN Ms. Loreen Ruth Bannis signed a Joint Communiqué to this effect at a ceremony in the Permanent Mission of Nepal in New York.
According to the Permanent Mission of Nepal in New York, both the envoys also held discussions on various issues including further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Both Nepal and Dominica are members of G77 and have adopted Non-Alignment Movement as their foreign policy.
Dominica is a small, fertile island in the eastern Caribbean Sea. Its closest neighbours are the French islands of Guadeloupe and Marie-Galante, to the north, and Martinique, to the south. The island was formed from volcanic activity. It has a range of high mountains covered in forests. It still has several active volcanoes.

The current Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland QC, is the 6th Commonwealth Secretary-General born in Dominica. She is the 2nd Secretary-General from the Caribbean and the 1st woman to hold the post.
